    Finally got a Garand

After years of drooling I finally bought one. I've been looking for a WW2 service grade with a WW2 stock. Something I can shoot. I've passed on a few deals due to money constraints. Wife may have had something to do with passing on a few too. I was introduced to a local collector that just so happens to live on a street I frequently jog on. He has several beautiful Garands in his collection and let me choose from three. I chose a S.A. low 1 million WW2. He ordered this years back from CMP. Very happy with my 1st Garand.

Very nice! A WWII Garand is a prize, I would be proud to have that rifle. Let us know how she shoots.

Thanks! Now I need ammo. He threw in 5 clips. Haven't found any garand specific ammo locally yet.

Thank you. I took pics at the FFL I did the transfer at. Those are items for sale at his shop.

Awesome! There's nothing like getting your first Garand. And then there is nothing like shooting your first Garand - it is very much a religious experience.

Nice find. Every red-blooded American male should down a Garand at least once in their life.

Congratulations! A WWII Garand is an awesome choice.

You'll probably be best to order the Garand safe ammo online. The Prvi Garand safe ammo has had excellent reviews and is in stock at SGAmmo. Its great brass that you can save for reloading or sell it.

Thanks and he still has two more! All this time spent looking online, gunbroker, gun shows, asking at ranges, I end up finding three just 2 miles away.

That reminds me. Can you recommend a Garand safe soft point for hunting?
