    CMP customer service/order processing

I ordered 2 service grades and they received them on the 23rd per delivery confirmation. I have not received an order confirmation. I tried called and was on hold for an hour and nothing. I emailed customer service and the person responded they would be out of the office until January 8th. I want to confirm that they received my paperwork and its not lost with my credit card number. Anyone know of a way to get a hold of someone at CMP. I am worried because I have seen people that sent their paperwork in after mine and they already received their rifles. I dont have permission to post on the CMP forum yet. Been waiting for weeks for that. Thanks.

Calm down, it's the holidays. You received delivery confirmation and yet you are stressed out? And I doubt very much that someone who's order was received after Dec 23 would have already received their rifle. The CMP has a small staff and when they get swamped, it is not uncommon to wait a few weeks for a email confirming your order.

First time ordering. Not stressed just want to make sure my credit card did get in the wrong hands. Just been reading that people that mailed their order on the 22nd already had them shipped.

All the orders they got on the 23rd sit together until earlier ones get entered. It seems there is always a couple week delay between receipt and confirmation. Calling all the time just slows down the system.

If you got delivery confirmation you are fine. Don't stress over it.

It's normal not to hear from them for a while, you'll get your DBU email in January. They are shut down for the holidays so no one is working on orders until they come back next week.

I guarantee no one mailed who their order on Dec 22 already had their rifles shipped. Even during their fastest turn times, it's never in a day. I ordered mine in May 2013 and the rifle shipped in July which very fast back then. They are moving faster now that there aren't as many orders but it does take time.

This will make your head spin!! Check out this thread for order turnaround times. I sent in an order on Dec 26 and Dec 29 and haven't heard anything yet (no pending order or email or CC charge). There are a few people posting that mailed orders in between Dec 19-26 and already received their rifles while others in the same window haven't heard much or anything at all. It's enough to drive you crazy!!

I also put in an order for two slings and some enbloc clips on Dec 30 and it has be "processing" for a week.

Snail mailed 12/26 1 service grade with 1 can hxp

                    ME 1+
                    TE 2+

rifle beat the ammo here very fast shipping, must have been trying to get as many rifles out as they could before years end
Mailed December 19, and haven't received a DBU message yet.
My order posted and CC hit on 12/30 after an email stating they received my order on 12/23. Order still open, no shipping or tracking yet. After seeing all the quick turnaround times, I almost held my breath hoping for a delivery during my holiday break. The turn around must be luck of the draw too.

I know someone who paid by check just before Christmas and he is still waiting for the DBU. Perhaps check orders are taking longer to process while Credit Card orders are moving quickly since they can be approved immediately.
In any case, I'M sure the CMP will get all existing orders processed shortly.

It took over 14 MONTHS for my first Garand (from the DCM) to arrive. . . quit stressing about a couple of weeks already!

Set up a account on E-Store. When there is any movememnt in your order you can track it there.
