    question about Olympic 8mm

got some for free from a co-worker, but online reviews are saying its hit or miss.

anyone here have a review? wouldn't want to damage my m48.

The good old Olympic 8mm mauser! That's the ammo that I use when I got my 1st mauser "yugo m48BO", full power ammo not like the wimpy American loaded 7.92x57.

The 30-06 is junk. When I say junk I mean junk. It will screw up any chamber with a stuck case. I have used it in a Simi autos and got stuck cases. But when used it in bolt gun, I can tell when the case is wrong, and pull it aside.

The 762.54r, shoots great, never a problem.

Never shot the 8mm, but would like to. It's probably ok out of a bolt gun.

All the ammo I have found is copper jacket only. Lead core, no metal at all. Its one time brass. Cracks ,splits, and 2 flash holes.

I don't know anything about this particular ammo, but the M48 is a pretty hardy platform and I would think it would handle any commercially loaded 8mm.
