    T-53 exreaction problem

I cleaned my newest T-53 just like all my other mosins and took it to the range. Broke the extractor trying to eject the first round i fired. took it home and bought a extractor. cleaned the chamber more. used a bore light and see nothing wrong. took it out today and fired about 8 rounds. extracting was VERY bad but i did not brake the extractor. got home and put polishing compound on a shotgun brass bore cleaner with a piece of rag over it and using my drill i polished the chamber.
It only sticks with a shot shell. so i put a used shell in the chamber and it stops before going all the way in. maybe 3/8 inch from going all the way in. impossible to force the shell in by hand. I tried old shells i shot in other mosins and they all stop in the same place. If i take these same shells and put them in another T-53 it snugly goes in all the way??. I even used a fine rat tailed file and carefully cleaned up the lip of the chamber at the face of the rim on the location the cartridge seats.
I measured the ID of a shell right at the rim and noticed a used shell expands about.003 thou over a new shell. but like i said weather it is a shell i shot in other mosins or this T-53 they all stick in the chamber and they all seat properly in my other T-53. any ideas.it is not a chamber needing more cleaning. Maybe it is a deformed lip of the chamber. after firing it does leave a scar on the spent shell about 1/4 inch long right before the rim which is the thickest part of the chamber. Maybe this will be the first MN that beats me.

John, can you post a pic of one of the shells fired from this gun?

I would guess the problem is at the barrel end of the chamber.

I am pretty sure i fixed it . I will pass on what worked for me. You know the old saying about trying the same thing expecting different results.
I forced a used shell into to chamber and with a magic marker i marked the shell at the 6 o'clock position. used a 1/8 aluminum rod to tap it out from the muzzle.
it left a nice gouge at 5 o'clock. put fine sand paper glued to a rod and worked it back and forth and checking my progress until i got positive results. I was finally able to insert a used shell with my finger all the way in and extract it with the bolt and extractor. then i went back and polished the chamber with automotive polishing compound. I can't be sure until i shoot it but i am pretty sure i fixed it. you could not see the bad spot even with a bright light. also you could not feel it with your finger.

Hope you didn't open your chamber too much. You could have over expansion issues.

YES that is possible and thank you for your concern. I only used 1,000 sand papar on the lip of the chamber a 5 o'clock at the rim. I doubt i removed anything except the bur. the polishing compound is very fine like talcum powder.
