Don't close your wallet yet. CMP just announced pending price increases on rifles and ammo in late January! Act quick! No say what they will be though.
    They gave, so we have.

Every year they go up, my M1 SG were about $450 when I got them and I went for the highest serial numbers possible - looking for best shooters.

My FFL03 and COE paperwork can't get here quick enough! I assume as long as your order is postmarked before the price increase that you are good?

Yup if your order is in you're locked into the old price. I'm lucky I got the perfect garand for what I wanted on my second try. I was prepared to go to my dozen limit lol

Hopefully they aren't raising the price of HXP, they just did not too long ago. A pretty good jump of 20.00 per case (200 rnds)

There is not an unlimited amount of M-1's, maybe a few years left.

Got mine from the summer release this week. They had others that had poor LMR barrels or other barrels and asked if I wanted to switch. No thanks.

                    Yep.
I remember $400 with only choice of Svc. Grade or Danish return.
And lots of receivers / parts.

                    Times, they do change

Yeah, and the armory class where you build your own Garand has doubled in price, to $800. That's $1,800 with the rifle. Ouch.

Attended the Sept '14 clinic, and I initially winced at the price increase... However, after attending for the three days, having the access to three armorer's/gunsmiths, parts & pieces, tools, information, suggestions, verifications of work, noon meals, etc etc etc, I would still say the $800 is well worth it... IF you want the experience of building your own. Otherwise, you can purchase 3 field grades for the $$. IF you add the flight, room, & wheels, you could get your FFL 03 & COE and buy a lot of toys from Anniston, having them shipped home. Just depends on what you value your time and the experience. ymmv.
