That looks like it would be a ton of fun to shoot. I doubt I'll ever even get to hold one, let alone shoot one. They are a bit out of my price range, unless I win the lottery or something. Here is some pretty good footage of the Johnson LMG in use.
It's a light-weight fully-automatic .30-06, but, still you get someone who says, "...it kicks..." ?Comment

I actually found a nice Johnson M41 rifle on GB a few mos back. Watched it. Even my bro was going to front me some money to buy it. Sadly it went out of my 4K budget, lol
That auto-rifle is very cool. Saw a writeup about it somewhere... maybe the last Milsurp Magazine...March 29- April 5, 2019- The Million Mag March. Thank you, Judge Benitez and all the vendors

There was actually a third variant of the Johnson design. The LMG, the rifle AND a carbine. Recent article mentioned earlier is regarding the carbine and I believe it was in the Mil Surp magazine. Not very many of those made.
I have an unmolested, A series, 1941 Johnson. Great condition, original finish, and DAMN does it shoot HORRIBLY. Its without question my most inaccurate rifle. I shot it at last months Modesto Rifle Club vintage military match and pulled out after the first two strings....I was just wasting ammo.sigpicCertainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter.

It just won't be a "go to" gun for any matches!
