    Question on C&R Application

I am currently filling out my Curio & Relic application and question 10C says: Are you in possession of a valid hunting license or permit lawfully issued in the United States?

I have to answer NO because I haven't gone hunting in over 20 years!

    Then it says:
    1. If you answered "NO," you likely cannot lawfully possess a firearm and therefore cannot be a federal firearms licensee.
    2. If you answered "YES," complete the following information, and attach a copy of the hunting license or permit to the application.

Isn't that number 1 above a bunch of BS!!! Excuse me but I already lawfully several rifles, a shotgun and .45 1911 pistol!

So, if I answer NO here does this mean there's no point in me even applying for my C&R??

I'd love to hear from any other persons here who DIDN'T have a valid hunting license when applying for their C&R FFL.

That is for certification of compliance of nonimmigrant aliens listed in 9 as owners/partners/responsible persons.
10 does not apply, or need to be filled in, unless those listed in 9 are nonimmigrant aliens.

are you a US citizen? if so, re-read the application and you'll see that that question does not apply to you.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Definitely.. unless being born in the center of Detroit, MI doesn't include being a US citizen anymore.

OK let me re-read that thing and see what I obviously must have missed earlier.

Question: If I have my C&R FFL and go to a gun shop and buy any gun there do I still have to wait 10 days before can take it home?

              it depends.

if you trying to by a modern firearm in CA, then yes, you still have to wait 10-days.

if you are out-of-state and want to buy a C&R firearm, you can use your 03 and cash-and-carry, but must report it when you bring it back to CA.

if you are in CA and want to buy a C&R firearm, you must still wait 10-days unless you also have a Certificate of Eligibility issued by CADOJ.

                Thanks, Jack.

Is this 10 waiting period thing for rifles and shotguns only in CA or do other states have this crap as well? I hate that!

the 10-day wait is just a CA thing for rifles, shotguns and handguns; other states may have their own waiting periods.

however, if you have an 03 and are buying a C&R firearm in person at an out-of-state FFL, in most cases you just hand them an ink-signed copy of your FFL and you can cash and carry from that FFL.
