    SKS grenade launcher -

I bought this because! It's in NV so I've not had a chance to fit it to a rifle - We have a date in Nov. -

The consensus thus far is that it was made and imported along with the Romanian SKS earlier on -

If you have additional info please share -

    Yeah, Romanian SKS grenade launcher.

These are pretty scarce.....as far as I know they were never imported in any quantity however small or offered by any of the guns and parts dealers, so perhaps those that are out there showed up as isolated single examples mixed in with all the other stuff that flowed west out of Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern Europe after the fall of Communism.

I have one that I acquired back in the 1990's - they do look very impressive on a Romanian SKS, especially when displayed with a dummy rifle grenade. I have a German (not sure if it is East German or West German) practice grenade made of some kind of high density foam rubber that looks really great with this launcher on my Romanian SKS.

Of course, since these launchers have been deemed by the all-wise and all-knowing California legislature (AKA, gun running kleptomaniac Chinese organized crime bosses and gay bar glory hole baloney pony wranglers) to be weapons of mass destruction that slaughter millions of children and lay waste to whole cities just with their frightening appearance, they must be kept in the trackless desert wastelands of Arizona or Nevada where they can do no harm. Mine is kept locked up and chained to the wall in an escape-proof cage in Kingman, Arizona, and whenever I go visit it, I have to wear ear-plugs so I don't hear it's siren call urging me to set it free so it can run down to the nearest kindergarten and commit murder and mayhem.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!! Oh marcus I do so enjoy your posts. I was about to launch into a similar tirade although I don't reckon it would've been quite as descriptive. I was just going to gasp and then whisper that mere contact with such a fiendish device would cause the death of children and puppies in a large radius and it should be turned over to the proper authorities to be melted down before it grew into a terminator and came after us all.

Because, as you've said, we can get rifle-launchable grenades in the US...

Lol yeah, I've got a Mas 36/51 that hasn't been tampered with, bought it at the show and walked right out with it years ago. Now I guess it's like I have a howitzer at home. I thought "yeah, they'll all be in big trouble once my order 1950's French rifle grenades comes in". Let's be real here, Wal-Mart doesn't carry those....

              Maybe Bass Pro?

Yah, my 49/56 has the GL, but I had the lower GL ring taken off, so I'm all good

There are some IDF K98 grenade launchers available, I have been eying one for some time. As I live on the other side of an arbitrary dotted line on a map, they are perfectly legal.

I heard of adapters for them, allowing you to fire golf balls, or soda cans, that would be fun.

The hardest thing about grenade launching for fun and profit would be obtaining the correct GL blank cartridges, especially for vintage and foreign military rifles.

Although they are not as common or inexpensive as they used to be, the best option for dummy rifle grenades would be the old big blue U.S. HEAT practice rifle grenades or the little adaptor that holds a U.S. pineapple or lemon style grenade. There are also Israeli practice rifle grenades that are show up occasionally....I think there are also some Yugo dummy grenades out there.

There are also the little WW2 dummy rifle grenades that are much smaller than the later big HEAT grenade, but these are scarce and valuable collector items these days that should only be used for display, so unless you have a real junked-out beater you don't want to risk damaging or losing it.

Hope they'll be some good stuff @ the Nov Reno show!

There are some videos of folks launching the HEAT practice nades - Fun!!!

Don't forget the CUP style for the Enfields you can launch tennis balls with! I've seen them for sale on the internet.

Add a little weld material to one of the ribs so a grenade can't slip over and your good.

I mated the launcher to a Chinese SKS - I didn't get a chance to shoot it with the launcher on though - The Reno trip was too hectic - Perhaps next year -
