How could anyone check if it's owned by a dead Nazi? I guess if they don't fall into any one of CA's asinine laws, you're prolly ok. And of course if you're purchasing, all reg laws would apply.

what i mean is if gramps never registered it can i still sell it. im sure the dead nazi it belonged to didnt register it either haha.

its a 1940 parabellum. or luger some say. shoots well and is in good condition. like high 80%s low 90s

Do a lot of research before you sell...do you have anything else with it? Papers? Holster? No attachment to it? Seems a shame to sell...

its got a matching # magazine and few others. one looks like a ww1 magazine. definitely a shame to sell but, what am i going to do with it? things like this should belong to people who admire and love them. i think its cool but in the end of the day im not a gun collector, im not a antique admirer, im a shooter. and if i own this gun ill shoot it until it breaks like i do all the others. and i dont think it deserves that.

its all matching and says 1940 above the chamber. the cool thing is its a p-08, the numbers end in 08 so all the parts are match stamped 08.

Do not get me wrong,
I'm like you, I like to shoot everything I own too and not so much into collecting safe Queens.

but if this great man (and I do believe he was & is great.) somehow passed it on to you shouldn't you try and keep it.

but what do I know, I've never been given anything so cool as even a cheap firearm.
