    Enfield #5 Help

    I have a #5 MKIROF (F)
6/45 enfield I need help with.
N5197 is also on the receiver.
I will add pics but I am on my wife's ipad and don't know how.
    It has a flared muzzle.
Was this made in England in June 45?

Royal Ordnance Factory-Fazakerly, 6/45 is the month and year, so yes. Pretty sure mine is the same year. The "flared" muzzle is a flash hider, which is unique to the #5 mk.I You have an original, not a later knock-off, which is cool. They beat you up when shooting but I really enjoy it. If you want to sell it I'm sure there are more people than me who'd be interested. How 'bout some pictures?

I started to clean her up. The barrel is in pretty bad shape on the outside I will s

are some pics, the receiver is cleaning up ok.
The bolt is smooth as glass. My Dad picked up one of these a few years ago and it was packed in cosmoline but I remember the bolt action on it was also very smooth.

It's in too rough condition and hard kicking for you. Where are you, I'll come and save you from it PAX

Nice find. I always thought the No.5 was a cool looking rifle.

My thoughts exactly looks like someone left it outside and forgot about it for a decade.

                    I am cleaning her up

If I wanted to replace the barrel are there any out there?
This one is shot. Very pitted beyond any hope.
The receiver is in good shape.
