That's a good price but for a fair condition M48. Probably make excellent shooters though. I bought mine from a Calgunner last year, brand new unissued for $50.00 more but now, the same condition I have seen selling as high as $400.00. It's good to have choices.

It is better to pay a little more and see the gun in person. many calguners like the gamble of getting a diamond cheap.

I love my M48 but I wouldn't buy one unless it was near mint. It is one of the cheapest and most plentiful Mausers out there. No real reason to buy a beater.
