Get yourself a practical "flat buckle" type WEB sling

All of my M1 Garand rifles have WEB slings on them. The WW2 type "flat buckle" style work well and are authentic for the pre-1945 period. Never developed any liking for those obsolete annoying leather type slings.

Best price hands down. But you might have to order a few since they have a minimum. I've ordered a few used ones from there and they're a bit dirty but good slings. Or you can get a new one from them.

I went to m local army surplus store, M1 Surplus, in Pomona, CA. They have USGI Web Slings with copper,brass, and steel buckles for $5.99
