okay, before any of the purists get mad at me this is just a weird thought I had, Would it be possible to convert a 91/30, or m44 in to a detachable mag? I just saw one that had a bipod and a mossy oak stock on it and thought to myself that would look really good with a detachable mag on it.

The integral magazine and trigger guard are one piece IIRC. You'd have to either replace that, or remove the floorplate, or something along those lines.

the cool thing about a lot of mosins is their price and availability is still good. might as well turn one into a project....type 53's are $55 plus shipping from omega. how can you lose??Comment
