okay, before any of the purists get mad at me this is just a weird thought I had, Would it be possible to convert a 91/30, or m44 in to a detachable mag? I just saw one that had a bipod and a mossy oak stock on it and thought to myself that would look really good with a detachable mag on it.

The integral magazine and trigger guard are one piece IIRC. You'd have to either replace that, or remove the floorplate, or something along those lines.
