It's an SK mount. Took some dialing in with the bore scope before I found the centerline. It's a tension fit in 2 places, so far so good. What mount have you got? PAX

You need a Parker Hale 5A which would probably cost close to what a bubba'd 2A1 is going for these days. About the best micro adjust target peep sight you can get for the #1 type rifle. Uses existing threaded screw holes.

I've seen some if their trainers with peep sights. Very "oddly" done. But functional nonetheless.

"Oddly" is what I could do, and even the Parker Hale looks like an after thought. I would perfer to have it look like it was made that way.

Rather than just make the same antiquated gun, using better metalurgy, they could have went the FR8 route, incorporating features for the NATO caliber, and transition to select fire MBR. Although I know they needed guns right now and obviously had a bunch of #1 hardware. Just thinking out loud.

BTW, I think if any country would still need FALs or G3s, it would be India. The ranges that they engage at, along their boarders is quite far. PAX

They made their own hybrid version of the FAL, a mix of metric and inch parts designated the 1A. They since transitioned to a mashup of the AK and FAL in 5.56mm called the INSAS which has not been a success.

Exactly. For what ever reason, the Indians balked, and then tried to re-invent the wheel, in the mean while, in the small arms race, they've shot themselves in the foot. Although, they are a nuclear power. PAX
