    finally! 1895 Nagant found.

No accessories so I think the price was a bit high but condition seems excellent.

    I think it's a 1943 Izzy but I don't know much about them.

$200 is good as most people are asking $250 - $300 for refurbs now. If it's a non refurb then that's a steal. Where'd you pick that up?

Local store in Folsom. Not sure how to tell if it's a refurbished one. I didn't look super close but it appears to predate import marka

No import mark is huge in my book as they're usually VERY obvious and marring on these. Enjoy!

Refurbs should have a mark something like a box with a hash mark through it.

          Often like [ | ] but closed.

You're telling me STS finally had something good? They have anything else in there worth looking at?

They had a few cool old rifles there I didn't recognize. But I'm new to the c&r scene. I like to drop by there every other month or so.

                    Nice find OP!
                    I have a 1935 Tula refurb.
I have found the ammo in the white box to be the WORST smelling stuff I have ever shot - I won't shoot indoors anymore.
                    Anybody else notice this?

That's a nice one! They are hard to find without an import mark, so that's a bonus. IIRC the Tulas are way more common, so finding an unrefurbed Izhevsk is pretty cool.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

The wood grips look to be in decent condition. Mine have the Bakelite with wood backstrap and the wood looks like its definitely seen better days
