I guess it will still be awhile before value goes up. as long as you can still buy one for those prices. but sight unseen is risky. many have dark pitted bores.

This price for a made up PU Sniper not an original, every one making them these days and selling them at Gunshows for $800.00 plus as originals.

I have never seen a PU at a gun store that passes all the proper PU inspections. And i mean old otherwise honest gun stores. it seems faking a PU sniper is almost fair game. one C&R seller at the gun show has had a few of these and i have been to his home a few times. one he was selling had a un marked shinny new looking bent bolt. Geeeez

The molot PU's are real, verified by many collectors who either:

                    1. Saw them first hand at Bryansk

                    Or

                    2. Are far more knowledgable than I about PU's

                    (Or a combination of both).

I like RMNF but I don't understand why they still have such a hard on for molot's over there with all evidence to the contrary.

I would have to say no by the number of people wanting me to mount scopes on them.

                        the real deal still there

RGuns are $800 but the ones that Aim Surplus and Classic Firearms have are the real deal. i got one from classic firearms and it is a sweet rifle. the last two places selling for $ 550. these are arsenal refurb's that were worked over after the war and put in storage in case another war broke out, didn't happen. so the russian's decided to get them out and sell them. so if you're looking to get one feel good knowing their for real. a lot of people have got their's from classic firearms and i have not read one bad review. i am not in anyway involved with any of these company's just a regular guy.

im thinking of selling my PU. i consider the value retail 900. You might get lucky and get a very nice one for less from a importer. A nice bore is a must if you want top dollar. Being a TULA helps. I also have the rare alloy scope. And last but not least my bolt cycles firing a round with 2 fingers. No smacking it around.

The market is saturated with high quality genuine PUs now. The last batch have some of the best stocks ive seen. Id estimate the chance of a VG to ex bore is around 80%.

This is the golden age of PU snipers. The source of these will not last long.
