I have an interested buyer of a Mosin Nagant 91 / 30 that I have for sale but is persistent on doing a C&R transaction. What documents do I need to allow this? Also anything to look for to be able to identify that the documents are legit? Thanks much

If I'm understanding your question correctly, the buyer will need to provide you with a signed copy of his 03FFL (C&R license) and state COE (Certificate of Exemption) If you are doing this in person, just ask to see the persons drivers license and make sure the info matches.

Thanks Trickster for responding. I decided that there were way too many obstacles to complete the transaction. The buyer seemed very upset but I'd rather have someone be upset with me than break any laws. Also seemed way too persistent for my liking. If any Mod's read this and would like me to share this experience with them, please PM me. Thanks againComment

Just curious, did he offer to provide a signed copy of his 03 FFL and COE and show his CDL to confirm the info. If so, you would have completed all legal requirements. If not, you are correct to not go ahead with the transaction.
