Did you get your COE too? That will be critical for buying inside Commiefornia.

      Congrats!

Now that I have a permanent residence I will have to apply for the 03/COE.

      Have fun!

Yes I will now put in the paperwork for COE it's my understanding you have to wait till after you get your 03 then you get your COE. If I misunderstood that I'm going to have to kick myself in the ***! But my purchases will probably be done all out of state. The family does atleast one drive a year to Texas that's at the least.

but once I get my COE it's gonna be ON!

You can get a COE at any time. You do not need to wait for your 03FFL.

You are probably close enough to Reno you can break your C&R FFL cherry by a trip to Cabela's. You can also order anything you want and have it delivered to Timber Outdoors in Reno, he is CA 03 FFL friendly, and his transfer fee is cheap, $20 for up to 5 firearms.

I have my 03/COE and I've been contemplating a trip to J&G sales in the Free State of Arizona.

Haven't seen either for sale. If you want something specific, order it from one of the usual places, (Classic, JG Sales, AIM, Etc) and have it shipped to Timber Outdoors. I do remember a board member picking a couple of Yugo SKS at Cabela's a couple years ago, but it isn't something they regularly have on the shelf.

Cabela's is probably the best place in Reno, simply because they always have C&R guns, and are familiar with the law and accept CA 03 FFLs with no hassle. I was there Saturday, and discussed what they had in this thread.

Sometimes the selection is better than others, but they always have something.
