    Newbie question.

Most likely this question was discussed on many an occasion and I think I know the answer but I just want to make sure.

I am located in California. I have pre-1899 percussion rifle that I would like to sell. My question is - if my buyer is located in another state, can I ship simply ship the rifle to him/her or is there a different procedure involved?

    Thank you in advance!

Any percussion rifle of any age can ship almost anywhere. Consult Illinois law, ny law for contradictions or limits. All other states.... Send it thru the mail...

Percussion, flint... Either one. Perc or flint handguns too. Just not necessarily ny or Illinois. Those states require an ffl, are banned based on county or city, may require a permit, etc.

Illinois considers all repo handguns of either form as modern. An ffl will have to xfer, regardless of county. Vice versa too. From Illinois to other states.

Actual antiques as you have, there are no limits except in NY and of course DC. Ship away!

Sometimes pregnant rabbits just explode. The placenta is especially fun to marvel at.
