What's the story on this luger?

This particular firearm pops up pretty often when I look for engraved, or presentation lugers, but I can't find anything about this one. Or maybe my google-fu sucks.

I would have to say that regardless of the story behind that Luger, it is an abomination.
If it ain't broke, keep fixin' it 'til it is...

I believe that it was a presentation piece to some Nazi official. Maybe Goering?

Seriously, it is a non-firing replaca gun made in Japan. Look at the link I posted earlier.

                  I had one - it's a Japanese replica -
Pot metal - dummy cartridges -
I thought it might make a fun movie gun - it never rented so - got sold.

I was thinking someone could'nt have willingly put those grips on a luger, and I was correct

Liberace would have willingly put those grips on a Luger, among a few other things: his hair-dryer, vacuum cleaner, fork, electric dildo....

I kind of reminds me of the gold Mexican cartel guns that some drug lord had. Thankfully that Luger in only a model and not a ruined piece of history.
