C&Rs in movies... Generation War on Netflix

I know there are sometimes threads on great movies with lots of C&R guns. If you haven't seen it yet check out generation war on netflix. It's in german with subtitles. GREAT series. I was really impressed with it. Lot's of Mausers, Mosins, etc.

Anyone have any other new movies with a good showing of C&R guns?

It is? I was wondering if I would ever be able to see that show.

Some pretty sad scenes in it. The SS rounding up Jews in the Ukraine was particularly bad.

Make no mistake. It is very sad and brutal at times. But it was a high budget production and very well done. It just popped up in the "things I might like" section a few days ago.

The Western Front had its moments, but the Eastern Fronts made monsters out of men.

I can't think of any recent movies with C&R's but I did watch Gettysburg yesterday!

i thought it was a great series for sure but it was spread a bit too thin. i wish it would've stuck with the brothers and the nurse, and left out the Jewish guy and the filmstar girlfriend. not that they werent good stories mind you, but because the polish resistance fighter story has been covered quite a bit in other films, and the brothers were the most compelling, unique story that the world hasnt seen as much.

seeing the one loyal officer brother gradually get disenfranchised and then finally do what he does, and the consequences he pays for that.... was really good! similarly with friedhelm, as he goes from a literature reading pacifist only doing what hes doing because he must, to just being wiling to follow any order... that was also a great story.

would've like to've seen more on friedhelm, going from the guy who never volunteers to the toughest kampfschwein in his section... great stuff, and thought provoking.
