You left out the link so there it is. Do I remember $218 for a 120 rounds? Not going to look at shipping costs. Have plenty.
Nice rifle to shoot. Have the stock, metal & handguards. Now the fun comes, I hope my Real Milk Tung oil comes in this week . -
The price is $118 + $11.95 shipping for 200 roundshttp://www.thecmp.org/Sales/ammo.htm

OP is referring to this.
M2 Ball, .30-06, Greek Ammuntion. HXP (Pyrkal) manufacture.
Packaged 20 rds per box, 12 boxes per spam can - 240 rds.
Boxer primed, non-corrosive. Headstamp varies HXP62-HXP80.
This ammo attracts a magnet.
Weight 21 lbs per can.
$150
S&H per can $19.95
It works out to about 71 cents per round vs 65 cents for the loose ammo in the can.Comment

My heart skipped a beat, then it remembered that it was the clipped HXP that will mark the beginning of the end of the CMP sales.Last edited by Not that bright; 08-05-2014, 9:38 AM.Comment

Right - I had the same reaction until I realized they were just clearing out some boxed. In a sense the price is crazy (70/cents round when I paid 55 last time) and in a sense it's quite reasonable ($170 w/ shipping for a can and I sold one for $220 plus shipping on gunbroker a couple of months ago). Some people will pay a big premium for the spam cans. Survivalist sorts I guess.Comment
