    PayPal Warning

I'm sure its been posted before but I just received a notice that my PayPal account including the money I have in it has been froze due to a gunbroker buyer paying me with PayPal. Apparently in their rules that I have never read it states that you cannot use paypal for the payment of gun sales or accessories. After I signed an agreement to abide by their rules they released my account. However I have completed my last PayPal transaction and will terminate my account. They have the right to limit my use and I reserve the right to tell them were to go.

And yet, you can use paypal to pay for gun parts that you buy off of ebay. I try to not use it as much as possible, but if you buy anything from evilbay they make you pay via paypal.

        I don't send checks. If a seller doesn't accept Paypal, I don't buy.

F paypile, and F sleazebay. They deserve and should get none of your money. When I sell something and the buyer absolutely says they must use paypile, I make them use the "gift" option off a linked bank account so that I at least do not get charged a fee. It has been at least 6 years since either entity has earned a cent of my money. Oh, and did I say F'em?

I rarely sell, only buy, at least that's what the wife says...

I mostly use eBay and PayPal for my model train hobby, not gun related items, I don't have a problem using PayPal and enjoy the fact that as a buyer it's one additional level of protection against crappy sellers. That's not to say that, David, you are a crappy seller, as a CalGunner I'm sure you're not, but there are crappy sellers out there and when they don't ship, refuse to answer messages after they've been paid or misrepresent an item and hassle you over the return the "I'll open a PayPal complaint" usually gets their attention and resolves things quickly.

I've been using eBay and Gunbroker for over 14-years and have over 3400 transactions between the two and 100% positive feedback on both sites; with that said, I've been played by crappy sellers more on Gunbroker then on eBay, and GB customer service for buyers sucks arss, IMO, compared to eBay and PP's when something goes wrong with an auction sale.

"machine parts" is usually what I get, but I imagine they're similar to your "car parts"

Just don't ever include any information other than the auction number and you will be fine. Hate PayPal too but can't beat the convenience, and some buyers are too lazy to send a money order. I don't really care, money is money.

Paypal use to allow guns and supplies. Paypal made headlines after the columbine shooting to shut it down to lawful gun transfers. What the seller need to do is click the box saying its personal money transfer.

You're screwing over the seller then, if the purchase is firearms related. See the OP for what can happen to them.

I've purchased many gun parts off eBay and paid with Paypal. I don't see why the same from a DIFFERENT auction site should violate their rules.
