    Electronic Copy - C & R/COE

I carry an electronic copy of my unsigned C & R plus COE & the cover letter (with address) on my Blackberry or Blackbird or whatever it's called. I'm guessing others do the same, if so have you ever gone to a gun store, found a deal & e-mailed a copy to the store for printout & immediate use?

    Can be done, legal?

That's a good question. I can't see why it wouldn't be legal. As I understand it, you give any dealer/seller a signed Xerox copy, so what would be the difference?
If it ain't broke, keep fixin' it 'til it is...

I just keep a copy in my wallet. I guess you could say it is the married C&R guy's equivalent of the wallet condom. I also have a scan of my license on my webmail so if I find 2 deals, then I just print out the 2nd copy at a business center and I'm good to go.

You have a good plan if you can get the store to print stuff out for you. Gun shop employees are not known for cheerful customer service

I keep a copy in my wallet too. You never know when the deal of a lifetime might just pop up. I gotta get my COE now.

Interesting, I should grab a copy on my Blackberry as well.

Right now I keep multiple copies of my C&R and COE in the glove box of my car and truck, just to be sure..

You guys show an alarming lack of commitment to our great C&R hobby. I'm going to have my FFL03 & COE tatooed on my back

I rent a car each weekend, so no registration or keeping my stuff in the car is an issue. Since it doesn't seem to be a legal issue, I think any one of the stores I go to would be agreeable so long as they have e - mail & can print.

great commitment how do you plan on copying your FFL, though. You do realize that the seller needs to retain a copy.

Sounds like it would have to be tattooed a bit lower than the back for a copier to pick it up.
