That's a nice looking K31. That P1 also has the extra pin that makes the frame stronger. Century has the same P1s for $319.00 but the hassle, dealer transfer fee, sales tax a DROS kills any bargain aspect.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

I thought that K1 looked pretty nice but I sold mine and don't need more calibers to stockup on. Never shot the ones I had anyway.
The Century P-1 doesn't come with all the accessories, I got one so I had to shop around for a P38 holster and extra mags etc, would have been nice to get this package deal. The one I got from Century does NOT have the hex bolt that keeps the bbl locking block from contacting the alloy frame. Which is the reason the Hex Pin was added, It doesn't really hold the frame together, just added as a wear point of steel to steel instead of steel to alloy.
$20 FFL transfer fee and $19 CA Regs Fee made the Century P-1 it ok for me.
It shoots really nice, my only issue with it is if I load 8 rounds in the mag the first one stovepipes when being chambered. If I only load 7 rounds they don't stovepipe, happens with both mags, the one that came with it and the extra one I bought marked P-1.
"The Walther P.1 uses an alloy frame. The WW2 P.38's were steel framed. The P.1 kept the same operating principles as the P.38. The barrel locking block on the P.1 is steel and causes a lot of wear on the alloy frame. After extended use the frame can fail/crack where the locking block interfaces with the frame.
So Walther and the Bundewehr made a series of changes that resulted in modifications to the slide and the frame. The pin or hex pin was added to the frame in the place where the locking block interfaces with the frame to increase durablity."Comment
