    I wrapped the stock in paper towels to absorb the cosmo, placed it in a large black plastic bag and set it out in the sun. I checked it every few hours and rewrapped it with fresh paper towels.

    It took about three days total and was the most gentle way I know how. If it had not been so splintered, I may have used a heat gun. Slow and easy is the key, you can't rush it too much.

          I'm not sure what the "collector value" would would get from a $200 rifle.... It's a beautiful refinishing job!!!
