Okay I just got my FFL 03 C&R and was wondering how do I buy a c&r rifle in CA? I was looking it up and it's so confusing. What is the benefit of having a c&r when buying from CA dealer?

None, with a COE you can skip the 10 day wait on C&R firearms.

With a COE you are also supposed to skip the one handgun per month rule, but the DOJ went all mafioso and took that away. There is a lawsuit to bring it back. C&R is pretty much only good out of state.

Get your COE and you can have it shipped to your house (regardless of seller's state) and you just have to send out your $19 to DOJ to register it

Not anymore. That changed on January 1st of this year. Now you need a C&R FFL and a COE in order to have C&R long guns shipped direct to your door. And the C&R long guns no longer have to be 50+ years old, they just have to be C&R long guns.

#1: Promoting violation of the law is against forum rules.

#2: Plenty of out of state companies are requesting the COE so they do know.

#3: You need the COE number to register the long gun. CA DOJ requires the COE number on the registration form.

#4: The C&R gun not longer needs to be 50+ years old. If it's C&R the age no longer matters.
