I read that those forms could be out of date and the forms I ordered come with a thing for fingerprints to send back to them. The PDF doesn't have that.

      Did you use that form?

the ATF-hosted PDF is just fine to use. there is no requirement to send in fingerprints to get your 03FFL.

Don't forget to get your COE; you'll need to be able to receive all those Russian beauties at your doorstep. Without the COE, you'll have to go out of state to pick them up.

Thank you! I am going to get that ASAP.

One more question for the second copy I send to my CLEO. I live in Patterson and we have a contract with the sheriffs dept but we have a chief if police. I called my dept here in town and they said to send one copy to them and another to the sheriff. That does not sound right to me. Should I just send to the Sheriff directly and leave my towns out. For CCW I go to sheriff directly if that makes a diefference. What say you guys?

If you have a CoP, he is your CLEO, but the Sheriff is also your CLEO, you can send to either one. I don't think it really matters and I wouldn't waste my time sending two copies out.

Generally you would send the second copy to the organization that would respond to a 911.

Well since we have a contract in my town a sheriff responds. Everything is a sheriff no Patterson police. But for sine odd reason we have a Patterson chief of police and they call it the Patterson police dept. even though you will not find a car marked that.
