    1903 value (More photos)

What is the range for a nice 1903A1 Springfield with 800,000 plus serial number?

Condition, condition, condition. If it has original barrel with low TE/MW with original wood, it could easy be a $800+ rifle.

Condition looks real nice. It has a 42 rearsenaled barrel. Rifle is late 1918. Someone polished the bolt.

          I understand.
It is a rifle I am considering buying. I was just looking for a range. I think the price is high at $800 plus.

For what it's worth, here is a couple links to completed listings on GB:

Since it has a war time barrel, the value is much less than an unaltered original condition rifle. Is the stock an early A1? If so it could be worth $300 all by itself. A rebuilt high number '03 is going to bring $700-900 on today's market if it is in good condition. I have noticed a steady climb in 03 Springfield prices over the years so while it may seem high now, in a few years that will seem like a bargain.

Without good quality pictures (no crappy out of focus cell pics) I can only guess at it's worth. But a polished bolt tells me that maybe someone was using it as a match rifle so the stock has probably been changed out for the C stock.

A polished bolt with the SN electro-penned on it is sometimes the sign of a match rifle. Or, the sign that someone polished the bolt for the heck of it.

I guess I am going to find out soon. I think I just bought it for $850 shipped. I will post some pictures soon.
It has the C stock. The stock has RLB inside a rectangle. The barrel says SA 7/42

That photo would of caught my eye too! I'm a big fan of the C stocks and yours looks great with some nice grain to it. Well done.

Agreed. I have two 1903a3's and both have the straight stocks. I wish they had the C-stocks.

Really? I like the look of a straight stock. Even thought of buying one to switch out my rifle

Other than the stock, how did I do? I will get better pics over the weekend. I think it wasn't a super price but it looks like a nice rifle.
