Since it has a war time barrel, the value is much less than an unaltered original condition rifle. Is the stock an early A1? If so it could be worth $300 all by itself. A rebuilt high number '03 is going to bring $700-900 on today's market if it is in good condition. I have noticed a steady climb in 03 Springfield prices over the years so while it may seem high now, in a few years that will seem like a bargain.
Without good quality pictures (no crappy out of focus cell pics) I can only guess at it's worth. But a polished bolt tells me that maybe someone was using it as a match rifle so the stock has probably been changed out for the C stock.MLC member.

I guess I am going to find out soon. I think I just bought it for $850 shipped. I will post some pictures soon.
It has the C stock. The stock has RLB inside a rectangle. The barrel says SA 7/42Last edited by Tonymin; 07-07-2014, 10:24 PM.sigpic
