Was good to be back out there and see the usual people. Not as crowded as I thought it'd be

My T38 Arisaka seems to have a ruptured case inside the battery. The neck must've blown off, and then the rear rim was ripped off, so never got to shoot it

The Madsen is a punishing beast. The way I usually have my cheekweld caused that part to keep hitting me. I wouldn't be surprised if I had a bruised cheek tomorrow. I found that if I let me cheek almost float off the butt, it wasn't bad. Not sure why it hits me though. Don't know if it slips up my shoulder, or if the muzzle flips up, or if the butt is slanted rearward... I just don't know

PU shot fine. Seemed to shoot better when I was doing quick shots rather than focused shots. Took me 20rnds to get close to getting on steel, then another 20 of fine adjusting. I forgot my bag rest again, so maybe I can better sight it next time with the bag

Had a great time again and for some reason it wasn't crowded at the range today which made it nice. I got to shoot Armistice's Madsen, that is a sweet rifle, I'll have to be on the lookout for one. I got to shoot Beetle Bailey's No 4 Enfield with the Parker Hale target sight. It was so much easier to focus on the target with the smaller iris than the standard Enfield peep sight. Yet another thing to add to my list.

sorry to hear the Arisaka gave you trouble. have you been able to clear up the issue? Don't what it is about them, the actions aren't smooth, the triggers are terrible, they generally feed kinda funny but the arisaka is one of my favorite rifles and I hope yours can become enjoyable to you. If you need any help let me know, I'd be glad to dick around with it. Today was my only "day off" this week and it entailed doing a ton of laundry and going out for my brother's birthday as well, so no rest for the weary it seems. I'll make a bold attempt to get on next month's roster but that's a crap-shoot as well. I've got lots of preparation in order as I'm headed to Idaho for my sister's wedding at the end of august. Anyhow, look forward to seeing you guys when I see you, hope all went well at the shoot.

That was a fun, if hot, day. Parker Hale sight worked great on my No. 4 Mk I. Jungle Carbine also got a workout, as well as the M 91/30 ex-PU. Coolest was either C96 Broomhandle or SIG P210.

I think it is a broken casing...

Armistice, I looked up a couple of things about removing the stuck case. You can try to get a large bore brush in there from the breech, push it through about half an inch after you feel resistance and pull it out. If the bristles will grab the neck, it should pull the case out. It's worth a shot and won't damage the chamber.

You should get the headspace checked, in case that's what originally led to the case separation.

Yeah, I'd douche it with some kroil or other penetrating oil then try Enfield's idea, or you can try to get in there with a pick and snag an edge of it and pull it out. Throw enough crap at the wall something will stick.
