    Miniature C&R

    The heading says it all.
I have inquired about the price of the FG42 - I'll let you know
I suspect they are not cheap.

That will be one interesting C&R! But is it California approved?

Now, if you want to hunt the most elusive and impossible to find C&R: Find the miniature 3/4th scale Mosin Nagant chambered in 3.81x27R, given to Alexei Nikolaevich, the Czar's son back in the very early 1900's.
Sort of had an obsession of becoming rich and recreating this rifle, but in .22 Hornet...

WHAT? 55K are you kidding? Even if you can rack the bolt I don't see it worth that much. Do they fire? How much per round?

          That's ridiculous...

How much for a Mosin? Cheaper to buy the real thing? lol

Daaaaaaaaaaaang! For that amount of money you could buy a CNC mill AND a stock duplicator, and start making 2/3rds size Mosin's for the market!

Holy moly that is just a lot...

Yup - not my cup of char -

I didn't inquire about the Mosin miniatures - feel free to, they respond pretty quickly. The FG42 would be a little more complex a build - so maybe the Mosin is cheaper -

I always thought it would be really cool if some company (like say, Nitchell's Nagants) were to make scaled-down versions of the popular WW2-era rifles (Kar98K, M-N91/30, Springfield, Garand, SMLE, Arisaka) chambered in 5.56/.223 or .22LR.
                  "Two dead?!? HOW?!?"
[sigh] "Bullets, mortar fire, heavy artillery salvos, terminal syphilis, bad luck --- the usual things, Captain."

You can convert most to .223 with some work and a couple of hundred dollars in parts.
