Great shooting in that desert wind!

Just the ventilation breeze in the Riverside Magnum Range pisses me off..

Glad you came out relatively unscathed.

I just want to make it clear that I in no way blame any equipment or combination thereof for me getting smacked. The Swiss mount is great and I already have another one backordered on Brownells for my other K31.

He wasn't using the scope. He was using the irons. It's just something to remember if using that mount and irons.

I have always been interested in these rifles. Just too lazy to do track a nice looking one down. I would always compare her to Swiss women I met in a brief stay there.

As another lefty, thanks for the warning. I will be eagerly awaiting the trolls of OT to quote this thread title on their next rampage...

Don't do what I did with my scoped K31 - shot the muzzle cap off! In my excitement to try the scope I forgot to remove the muzzle cap. With the issue sights the cap blocks the front sight but with a scope there is no knucklehead reduction factor in place since the cap wasn't to be seen through the scope. I took my first shot and felt something sting my supporting hand. All I found was the spring clip, the brass cap itself vanished. The round hit the black on the target at 100 yards!

                Nice rig Bobby.

I had the same problem with my 1911 rig, I ended up buying some more scope rings and playing with the mounting points. Ended up with three mounting rings. It's not bad to clamp everything to the rear tube behind the turrets.

I liked the other one so much I just had to scope my other K31 too. I will leave the K11 with iron sights. Brownells finally got some more Swiss mounts in and I bought a nice retro K4 Weaver "El Paso" 4X scope. I put it all together last night and look forward to shooting it within the next week or two. I have ben trying to buy as much 7.5 Swiss ammo as I can find and afford.
