INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CORPORATION M1 GARANDS. CMP currently has 511 Service Grade IHC M1 Garand rifles (with LMR barrels) available for purchase. The CMP North and CMP South stores will be allocated 64 of these rifles each. The balance of 383 rifles will be reserved for mail order purchase. Price of these rifles, CMP item number RM1IHCSLMR, is $975 plus $29.95 S&H.

CMP also has 384 Service grade IHC M1 Garand rifles that do not have LMR barrels. Price of these rifles, CMP item number RM1IHCS, is $925 plus $29.95 S&H. Please note that the only part on either of these two item numbers guaranteed to be the IHC is the receiver. Purchasers are limited to only one IHC M1 Garand per customer.

Mail orders will be accepted immediately until enough orders are received to allocate the current inventory. Rifles will be available at the stores on 5 June, 2014. We do still have approximately 2,000 IHC rifles to inspect and repair and make ready for sale. We expect the next partial IHC release to be in November, 2014, but it may be sooner.

I have one more Garand in my future, a plain jane H&R Service grade, and I'm done. The IHC is certainly a fascinating option for the more discerning Garand Connoisseurs among us.

I love and respect the Garand, but a grand is too high for me. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, I want a 1D Sniper.

My order went in friday priority mail. Its the last garand i want. Except for a sniper but that is a bit more pricy.

Bobby, as you probably know, the plain jane HRA service grades can be quite nice. My first (of only two .... so far) CMP M1s is an HRA SG with an LMR barrel and very nice GI wood (HRA stock with clear cartouches, just enough very minor dings for "character", and a beautiful rich color). And nice metal.
Think the bore numbers are 2 and 1+ or something like that, and she shoots well. Not bad for $625 plus shipping.

Yep your right people been chomping at the bit for these for months, I would bet all the mail orders are on the way Priority mail or next day delivery!

Don't know if I'd want to pay that kind of money for a CornBinder receiver, if it was all correct, like they used to ship out years ago I'd be in. I would imagine if they had any all correct IHC's they'd be on the Auction site???
So we'll hear about the "IHC Garand I got with an IHC Gas plug, Trigger group or front sight woohoo, etc, etc". I'm not too excited over these, but then I've got more Garand's than I'll ever shoot anyway.

I also do not want any of their farm equipment.. the name Springfield or Winchester sounds much better.
