    big5 m44's

i was just at the big5 in porterville today and they had some m44's on sale for 99.00. i must say these were the nicest laminated rifles i had ever seen at a big5. the tag said normal price was 209.00 and they were on a manager discount for 99. so if your in that area and looking for a nagant check them out.

There were also a few at the Big5 in Sunnyvale, I picked one up a few weeks ago, very nice indeed

I think laminated stock M44s tend to go for $75 wholesale, So it's like you are paying for a hand select model or the shipping. Not a bad price if in really good condition.
      $299. is a crime.

Don't buy anything at big5 unless it's on sale, and sometimes when it's not you can get the last sale price if it was on sale in the past 2 or 3 weeks.

I never buy Nagants from Big5, I used to buy .22s before they ****ed me over and made me wait 19 days for one. They are way over priced any more any way. Last time I bought a gun there it was a Marlin .22 for 89 bucks.

There are some gems available from Big 5, you just have to look carefully. I found an all matching 1943 Izhevsk M44 on sale for $89 a few months ago. With C&R & COE, it was cash & carry.

Just picked up an M44 myself from the local Big5. For a C note why not?

Do the Nice M44's currently at Big 5 still have all that electric buzzing pencil scratch numbers forced matched all over the place?

I bought one 15 years ago in fantastic condition (re-arsenal'd but stock had no dings or scratches under the thick shellac stock and the metal had no pitting or corrosion evident under the reblueing they did) EXCEPT it had what looked like a three year old writing of these numbers everywhere in the most conspicuous place.
