    C&R Handgun

Going to Reno this weekend looking for some new toys. Just curious what you all have for ideas? So far looking for another 1903 and a Ruby....

CZ 52's are pretty fun, and if there are some 82's available that's another one for consideration.

if it's an actual surplus/C&R P-38, then it's fine to buy out of state and bring back (just don't forget the form and fee to the DOJ). You could also have it shipped to a CA FFL, but you'd have the DROS + 10 Days + whatever outrageous transfer chrage your FFL gives you.

        If it's a reproduction (non-C&R) p-38, then it's a no go...

Argentine Colt Sistema 1927 if you can find one! A real 1911a1 with forged frame!

Print out the whole damn C&R list from the ATF website and take it with you. That's what I do!

I'd love a lemon squeezer (Chicago Palm Pistol). Always wanted one.

Thanks guys. I have been doing some reading about the Ruby, and it appears you have to be really careful. I guess it was made by so many different people, that you have to be careful of poorly made imposters?

You actually want a Ruby? On gunboards there is a guy that collects them though.

I was really hoping to find a Nagant revolver at the show. I only saw one there and it looked like it was in pretty bad shape.

I guess I'm mail ordering something to my FFL and paying all the fees instead.

I picked up a very nice Nagant from SOG that I sold at the last gun show. I would say VG condition. If you have a C&R license, have them ship USPS. It will be much cheaper than Next Day Air Saver from UPS.

Thanks for the tip, I will definitely have them do that when I order.

I think it was $82.10 all said and done (Ohio to Upper Michigan). USPS goes by weight. Priority usually takes 2-3 business days for stuff.

The only problem is that it is illegal to mail a handgun to a C&R FFL holder. Dealers and/or manufacturers are the only licensees that can use the USPS to mail handguns.
