      That was the Remington 03-A3. A week later, I came across a Smith Corona 03-A3 which had a cracked Monte Carlo style stock.

      The Remington was an arsenal rebuild and the replacement stock was nicely cut and converted to a sporter. However, I wanted an original/correct 03-A3 and the Remington stocks are much easier to come across. I figured the arsenal "sporter" stock would be a good temporary home for the S/C until I can find it an original stock as well.

      Even though its been fudged with, I kinda like the arsenal replacement stock's "sporter" look. You don't see many that way, most are in Monte Carlos/Boyd's stock. Still having the handguard and arsenal markings is kinda cool IMO anyway. Anybody comes across a decent 03-A3 S/C stock, give me a hollar!
