Im at work right now, but I will post a pic of the butt plate tomorrow. If by hatcher hole you mean a hole covered with a flip down cover, then it does have that. If I remember the butt plate is checkered. From what I understand my roommates father did serve in the USMC. Is it possible that he bought his service rifle? I will try to track down when he served tomorrow as well.
