Looks really nice but one question - why a sporter stock?
Why not get a milsurp stock (CMP) has them - I think"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke speech of 23 April 1770, "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents," delivered to the House of Commons. -
Nice one, especially with an original S-C barrel. Is the bolt S-C also? I ask because the bolt sleeve is from a Remington.
Here is what a Smith-Corona sleeve looks like:

Notice that the top of the sleeve is contoured compared to yours.
Dennis, I think he is jerking your chain a little.

If the bolt body is marked with an "R" you will need a different one to be "correct" of course. But, with the correct sleeve, no one would really know the difference without looking at the underside of the bolt handle. Original SC bolts are marked with an "X" or are unmarked. They also used some "CC" (Commercial Controls) bolts at times also.MLC member.
