    Chief LEO Orange County

    Hi, can anyone tell me who the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for Orange County is? And what the address is? It is for the C&R application form; I don't want to make any mistakes

      I went to my city hall and asked for the Chief's address
      March 29- April 5, 2019- The Million Mag March. Thank you, Judge Benitez and all the vendors

          Probably the district attorney, but when fileing ffl paperwork, I always delt with the Sheriffs dept, professional standards dept. You might have a hard time getting through now, because of all the ccw permit fileings. Google the address and phone #

                          Can you look in the front part of your telephone directory.

                          Go to the "County" section, find "Orange County Sheriff", and proceed from there.

                              Telephone directory? You mean like a phone book? I think my parents still have a phone book out in their garage, but it's from 1998.

                                      Please note the Sheriff is only the CLEO for the unincorporated area of the county, and for those incorporated cities that contract with the Sheriff for police services.

                                      The CLEO for persons served by a police department is the Chief of Police.

                                      Except for disaster management functions under Government Code section 26620, there is no law that makes the Sheriff "senior" or "chief" over independent police agencies in their county.
