    Rem 341P Facelift

Remington's brown varnish on their old .22's, is usually hiding some pretty wood, and this one was no exception. Lots of dents, dings, and scratches, and some, having added varnish over them.
yatzee982 ask me for some help to refinish his Rem 513T replacement stock, after the original was smashed in shipping. His stock has some real nice figure in the grain, so I had plans to coach him through a nice hand rubbed oil finish. That's until he told me his workspace was an apartment balcony. On to plan B, for a quick easy refinish.
I used this stock for a "how to" I'll be posting for him in the Rimfire Forum.

That wood looks beautiful, nice job. Was there lacquer thinner involved?

Post the thread here too so everyone can see it.

You can't tell by my photography skills?
I took a bunch of "after" pics in different lighting, and everyone of em shows the stock color different than what it really is.
Camera crapped out during the dent steaming process. Got another one here I'm working on, that I'll get pics of that process before I post it.
I don't know about a dupe post in two forums, that seems to wad some peoples panties.
