    MAB Model C .380

Just picked up a MAB Model C .380 to use as a project gun. I want to eventually CCW it when I leave the LA area. Before I get anywhere near that I want to get it hard chromed, but I first want to locate a new barrel and bushing. I'm also going to polish the trigger because its a tad heavy and I will also be replacing the grips for another color. Might sound dumb to most people but it fits my hand better than any other pocket gun I have handled so I figured I'd give it a go. I will be testing it at the range tomorrow with a couple hundred rounds of ammo. Here's a couple pictures:

Those are neat guns. Reliable and accurate. Parts are a bit tricky. Why chrome it? Looks just fine in the pictures?

I'm with C&Rtrader. "IF", I was going to refinish it, a polished charcoal blue would look sweet on that!

Took it to the range this morning and wow was it reliable AND accurate. At 7 yards I shot 150 rounds of PMC, 100 round of critical defense and 50 rounds of DRT, all without a single hiccup. I kept every brand of ammo in groups slightly smaller than my fist. This gun is going to be a good project gun. I am definatly getting it hard chromed. I kept it in a pocket holster around the house for a couple hours and saw some rust spots begin to form. I want to use this as a very piece so I feel if its rusting, I might as well go all out and hard chrome it just for the heck of it.

If it was me (and I'm well aware it ain't....), I'd keep it covered with Break Free CLP and leave it alone. That way, if it ever has any collector's value, it will still have it. Chrome it and that's not a possibility.

A neat little pocket rocket. The 7.65/.32 ACP version was a common cop gun in French-speaking countries for many years, including France.
