    Forehand top break revolver question

I have one of these I want to sell its date January 11 1887 so that makes it a antique and no paperwork required to ship or transfer right?
Its the top revolver in the picture.

If that is the manufacture date and not a patent date then your okay.
    Who is the manufacture?

Forehand & Wadsworth existed until 1890, then it became Forehand Arms.

The date you posted looks like a patent date. You might try finding information that will tie it to a specific year via the serial number.
Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

And Forehand died 1898 and his heirs ran the company until they sold it 1902 to Hopkins & Allen.

You most likely will be okay as an antique, especially if that is the only patent date on the gun, but you may want to do a little more research.

It also has Pat date Dec 7 1886 on it. I've googled and googled but everything I find is vague. I did find where someone had one with a 4 digit serial number like mine and another that had 6 digits which they claimed was made before 1899 so its a antique?
Little more research this is in such a gray area I'm just going to hang onto it, maybe make a wall hanger out of it.
