    Got my first M91

Bought my first M91/30. About 185 after fees. I spent today cleaning cosmoline off the Mosin and accessories. Like many Mosins, my bayonet doesn't quite fit, lol. Anyways, tomorrow is range day after I get out of class. I can't wait....

nothing more fun than your first Mosin, it was a long 10 days. remember the cheap price has nothing to do with its true value. it is only inexpensive because it is SURPLUS. do not be distracted by the haters. I have other nice guns but i still have 4 mosins and shoot them all the time.

I always thought they were inexpensive because 45 million of them were made : P Something I was just thinking of today is a lot of people talk trash on soviet guns but most of these insurgent type groups (think Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq) didn't/don't maintain their guns all that well. In the hands of American civilians these guns are getting babied and should last forever and shoot as accurate as when they were made (until rifling is shot out), lol.

same exact rifle. getting more 91-30s is great but after shooting a M-44 or T-53 you will want one for sure.

              Got my first M91

Nice I just shot my 1934 hex for the first time on Saturday. It is really accurate I was nailing steel plates at 100 yards with ease. I'm going to try it at 200 yards next time I go shooting. Those Russians make great guns for the money. Even my saiga is happy because it has a friend from the motherland.
