    A Black Powder Question

    I recently purchased this:

Traditions Kentucky Pistol: Caliber: .50 Cal Percussion
FYI - The barrel is 1/20 twist
I was wondering is the .490 round ball the only thing I can shoot out of it?
    (like sabots or similar?)

    If so recommendations?

You can shoot anything that fits down the bore. 1:20" twist is pretty fast.

Stick with a patched round ball you'll be happier leave the sabots for inlines.

I hoope you enjoy it. I have a long gun not the new inline but traditional and I get a kick out of it every time I shoot it. I use Black Powder and can load it for the wife or heavy for hunting and just the loading is satisfying for me. I am amazed at how accurate you can get. I tried different ball diameters with different patch material thicknesses and it is impressive at 75 yards.
