Hue is such a beautiful place but, the NVA and VC got their *** kicked trying to take the bridge. Lots to see there but if you going get the hotel next to the post office, a pink hotel. Lots of friendly locals working for the hotel will show you some interesting stuff where the last king used to live. The citadel has some interesting holes and some scorching done by the jets waving hello.

Hey that funny, looks like soldier standing might me having a little problem with his weapon. Hmmmm he got big smile.

Taking the the train through the mountain north of Da Nang lots of coffee trees. Down the lower elevations where there's rice paddies everywhere wife points out window. Look at the shrimp ponds. I look and there's these circular water filled "ponds" going out for some distance. Brother says no .....Bay Nam Hai.

Those aren't soldiers those are sailors, we had to slip the magazines in backwards to take the picture, it was a Navy thing.
                      I got there the first time in 1965, then 69, 70 & 71.
Now that its open to us to visit I'd have to give it a lot of thought about taking a tour there. I kind of wished they would open Cuba for us, like to try a real Cohiba cigar..

One thing about Vietnam is how the majority of people are under 30. The South is liberal while the North is conservative.
