    C&R limits?

Is there a limit as to how many C&R pistols and or long guns you can buy in a year? In a month? Not selling any just buying.
    Thanks!

I've found that I hit a limit when the wife says "isn't that enough guns for a while?".

If you've got the money you can buy all you want.

no limits on long guns at all. C&R pistols are limited to 1-per-30days if purchased/tranferred through dealer, unless you have a C&R+COE. With both, you are exempt from 1-per-30 regs for ALL handguns, C&R and modern.

You can PPT (including cosignments) as many C&R pistols as you want, no limits.

Just buying should be no problems, just be aware that if you start selling, there are state limits, and federal as well. Federal limits are not specifically laid out, determination of if you "are in the business" or not is not quantified.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Yeah I know this is not a license to be a dealer, its just I might be as high as 6 pistols this month but they are all out of state purchases brought home with me.

you should be fine then. Just remember that you need to register any C&R handguns that you bring back with you, http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/curioapp.pdf

There supposed to be a Federal law requiring FFL dealers to report a buyer who buys more than two handguns within five days period. This is just a requirement to report and not a restriction on transfer itself.

I don't know if the same law applies to C&R holder buying C&R handguns, but know not so many gun stores or FFL's aware of this law (or conveniently forgot?).

That law only applies when an FFL transfers handguns to a non-licensee. So if a California Dealer transfered 2 C&R handguns within 5 business days to a California C&R FFL, then he would not need to send in that form.

But if a California Dealer transfered 2 modern handguns to a California C&R FFL within 5 business days then he would need to send in that form.

Yeah, there's a limit. How many can you afford?

Buy 250 rifles at once and see what happens. I bet Century would make you a good deal on that.

My wife have NEVER told me "that is enough...no more".

She just gives me that look and I know it without a word being said.
