    T-33 or CZ-52??

So I have wanted something in 7.62 25 for awhile. I already have a mosin nagant M38 and I love it, ammo is cheap for it. I have some 147 GR light ball bulgarian that has shot very well with it. so I ask T-33 or CZ-52? feed back is greatly aprieciated. thanks in advance.

definately TT. bratva's favorite back in wild 90's. if you can't find or afford the USSR made then get polish. they are ok compared to Russian made but a lot better than romanian.....h.ll I wouldn't buy anything from jypsies let alone what jypsy made. cz is -s..t pure and simple.

Make it easy on yourself and get both. You should be able to buy both of them for under $500 easily.

The CZ-52 is cool because you can pick up a 9mm barrel for it if you get sick of 7.62x25.

Despite the opinion above to the contrary, I find CZ52s are interesting pieces of history and reliable firearms. I'm not familiar with the TT.

The only problem I've had with it has been finding a good snug holster.

I haven't handled or shot a TT, so I can't compare, but my CZ-52 is one of my favorite pistols. I did do a few mods to it, but it's a fun and cheap gun to shoot.

When I use the hammer-drop on my CZ-52, it goes off sometimes. Keep it pointed in a safe direction when you use that feature. Better yet, never use it. Run it empty. Other than that issue, great gun with potent ammo for it's caliber. Cheap as hell, all steel, and totally reliable.

I am always looking for Beretta D models in 9mm or a Compact Type M.

+1, the CZ52 is a great handgun. I'm more accurate with mine than I am with just about anything else... Put a different firing pin in, and the trigger becomes very light.

                    T-33

I have a t-33 and it shoots great. It's a Polish 1949. I just don't shoot surplus or Bulgarian in it. That ammo is way too hot for it. As for it's design, it is a Browning 1911 knock off. When the Russians started making them they changed things a little by using a trigger group and a hammer group. My guess is they were trying to make the gun peasant proof.
I haven't ever shot a CZ so if I haven't shot it I won't knock it. But my Tok shoots point of aim with S&B ammo. Never had a jam, either. Tok gets my vote.

The CZ is cheaper. I love mine, I shoot the crap out of it and it is accurate and fun to shoot.

again...cz is s..it. waste of money. you'll see.
TT's are well known to shoot trough light body armor ( police standard vests).....if you use a surplus military ammo with steel core of course...heheh

The Tokarev is a much stronger esign when pushed to the limit- i.e. destructive testing. It is also probably more reliable- ever hear of worn out TT rollers?

I own both, and for simplicity the TT gets my vote. Since the TT is a Browning copy, it's very easy to work with and durable to boot. As saki302 pointed out, the CZ can end up with roller damage and you could ultimatly bugger your frame if you don't catch it soon enough. The draw of a CZ is the novel design, something that was truely over-engineered. It is a good weapon in it's own right. As for ammo, the Romainian surplus is good, just don't forget to clean right after the range.
