Yes it looks like a cheap generic certificate you could make in MS Word in 5 minutes. Well worth $91 I'd say.

Hello everyone. Happy New Year. I sent in my C & R paperwork in August haven't heard anything called ATF a week before Thanksgiving and asked what's my status on my C & R. The person who answered stated that ATF is running a background check. Now mind you I haven't done anything wrong. So Still no C & R two weeks ago, called again and still in Background check. Yes, I'm X Military, did my 21.5 years and have lived in Ca since 1987. Maybe my family name has to do with this background check as my brothers had problems while they were growing up. Now my nephews are in the Military service. Anyway my last call before Xmas the person stated once again its in background check. Paid with a MO. Has anyone gotten their C & R in under 6 months in Ca? Just wondering why this government takes so long.

Remember "hurry up and wait"? You answered your own question, "Just wondering why this government takes so long"? THE GOVERNMENT! Be patient, it'll happen. Took me about 5 months 8 years ago.

I mailed mine off November 6th, 2012 and the ATF charged my card November 9th, 2012. My FFL03 came January 15th, 2013. I'm sure the recent state of firearms laws and such are probably causing delays.

Took forever to get my C&R. COE about a week. Really nice certificate..LOL
State couldn't even afford a nice piece of paper. At least I got Kamala's autograph.

I'm doing mine too. I started filling out the form but realized that you have to do the livescan first, apparently.

Ugh... What a pain...

Kinda useless too, isn't it? I mean, if you already have an 03 FFL, wouldn't the ATF have done an investigation already?

I just got my renewal today; the form is worse than the certificate.
