I have to ask and this place is the best to ask. i would really like to get an SVT40. my friend has one and i have seen them at the gun show but they are about 1600 bucks. OUCH. so i have checked gunbroker.com and they had one for 600 not bad. but are they legal in this state?

Yes they are legal, 1500.00 is a little over priced. Auctions seem to get 600 - 750 or so for a good example. -

i paid 750.00 for mine at the gun show - cash and carry - siince theyare 50+yrs old and paid another 100 buck or so geting the B-square scope mount. and if you need extra magazine, they are about 60.00 a piece if you can find them. but it's a great gun to haveComment

I'd pay $1500 for an all matching, WW2 vet bringback SVT in excellent condition (no import marks, no SA marks, original bluing, all complete) that has the groove on top of the receiver.Comment
