    strange carbine issue

    Hello calgun gang.
I purchase used a kahr m1 carbine . I finally got to shoot it and it was so bad it was hillarious.

It would not run through 10 round mag without a jam of sorts. either a double feed a nose dive a sideways nose dive, a fte = all of the above.
But I keep at it thinking a little use = break in , ya sure!
Well after a few more another strange problem , the op rod popped out of the groove.
I got it back but it continued to do that again & again.
I' think this is junk and should be mailed to kahr with a letter of love . Then straight to the smelter.

Has any of you all experienced folks out seen these type of problems any advise will be kindly appreciated any suggestions or as I like to say HELP!
I bought used at Blank arms in Escondildo .
I haven't told them as I'm thinking of selling it there back on consignment, but then the next lucky one would be in the same deal as me .
    Now what !
Do you think Kahr will help or is got to be a couple of years old and out of warranty
Does the gun shop have any resposibility?

    Good fun !

How long ago did you buy it?
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

my usgi carbine would have plenty of ftf issues with the cheap crappy 10-round aftermarket mags. (never a problem with usgi mags) Never looked at the new commercially made ones but haven't heard much about them.

I would try different magazines. Of the CA OK ones that I have (and assuming you don't have any preban GIs as those work best) ProMag has always worked. M1s are very sensitive to mag specs, for example th e distance from the top of those two little nubs on the back of the mag to the top of the mag should be no less than 1.5" - too short and the thing won't feed correctly, at least that's the info I got off the CMP website and my experience watching a friend or two shoot & unjam their civilian type carbines.

10 round mags don't really work well out of the box. I had to modify mine. The lips that hold the ammo needed to be adjusted. I used needle nose pliers and bent them down just a smidge... They've been good since making the adjustment.
